Manta Systems UK
A Darlington based Subsea exploration business has gone into administration after attempts to sell the business as a whole were unsuccessful.
Mata Systems Uk Limited has been operating for over 35 years and provided integrated project services and technologies for underwater operations across industries including oil and gas, renewables and defence using autonomous subsea drones.
17 positions have been made redundant as a result while administrators will now look to sell remaining assets and distribute realised funds to creditors.
A statement was issued which confirmed that the company faced several challenges that were exacerbated by the current economic climate and general market uncertainty.
WMS Entrance Systems
A Huddersfield company which serviced and repaired industrial doors has ceased trading and gone into administration with the loss of 50 positions.
WMS Entrance Systems said that while efforts had been made to sell the business as a going concern, this was ultimately unsuccessful so the decision was made to close and begin winding down the business.
Fishers Tours
A Dundee bus and coach operator has ceased trading with the loss of over 20 positions.
Fishers Tours was one of the largest private coach hire firms in Dundee and held significant contracts with local councils which included the transportation of hundreds of pupils to and from schools in Dundee and Angus.
The business also provided transport for various concerts and football matches.
Yurtel Limited
A Yurt company has gone into voluntary liquidation a month before the Glastonbury Festival when many customers were relying on their accomodation – and tickets they were supplying as part of a promotion.
They sent an email to customers which read: “By this point you will have received news of the liquidation of Yurtel Limited. We have received a handful of enquiries from guests as to the situation with accomodation and tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2025.
“Yurtel cannot fulfil its future obligations to customers.”
Glastonbury Festival issued a statement saying: “We were sorry to learn that Yurtel Limited has appointed liquidators and appreciate how disappointing this is for anyone who was planning to stay with them.
“Glastonbury Festival has no involvement with the operation of Yurtel Limited and as such we have no records of their bookings and are unable to take any responsibility for the services and facilities they offer. Yurtel was one of a small number of campsites local to the Festival site with limited access to purchase hospitality tickets for their guests in certain circumstances, they had not paid Glastonbury Festival for, and had, not secured, any tickets for the 2025 Festival prior to entering into liquidation. Anyone who has paid Yurtel for a package including Glastonbury 2025 tickets will need to pursue any potential recompense available from them via the liquidation process as outlined in their communication to you. We are not able to incur the cost or responsibility of their loss or replacement.”
Yurtel supplied a range of “glamping” tents with luxury beds and bedding, safari style furniture and linen headboards at their location near Glastonbury.
