Licensed insolvency practitioner in the North West team
Gareth Hunt is a licensed insolvency practitioner with BusinessRescueExpert’s North West team. He takes formal insolvency appointments, including joint liquidator appointments with Kevin Pinkerton.
Gareth joined BusinessRescueExpert’s Manchester team in 2026 after serving as Head of Business Recovery at RPG. He brings more than 20 years of experience in debt advisory and insolvency, covering corporate and personal cases as well as advisory assignments.
His experience includes work in retail, hospitality, construction, waste management and healthcare. He has dealt with liquidations, company voluntary arrangements and administrations, alongside personal insolvency matters.
Gareth passed the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency in 2014 and gained the Joint Insolvency Examination Board qualification in 2016.
Gareth holds an insolvency licence with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). His insolvency practitioner number is 19132. His licence status is listed in ICAEW’s professional directory.
Gareth’s role includes acting as an office holder in formal insolvency proceedings. A liquidator’s work includes dealing with the company’s affairs and assets, creditor claims and the duties that apply to the appointment. The scope and outcome depend on the circumstances of each company.
